Last week we asked Canberrans to reduce their electricity use as the National Electricity Market faced supply shortages.
With the support of our largest users and households, we saw a reduction in our use, which helped ease pressure on the national electricity grid.
Over the weekend, electricity supply in the ACT was stable. However, while it is still a challenging environment on the east coast of Australia, we will keep monitoring the situation and we are in regular contact with the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO). For now, you can continue with your regular energy usage – and if we need your help again, we will let you know.
