How to apply
Preparing and submitting your application
Your application provides us with a picture of who you are. It should include information about your education, work history and experience.
Before you apply for any job advertised by Evoenergy, you must check that you are eligible to apply. To apply for a job at Evoenergy, you must:
be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or
have Australian Work Rights.
Further information can be obtained from Australia's Department of Immigration and Border Protection or Immigration New Zealand.
Your application must be received on the due date.
We cannot guarantee that late applications will be accepted.
Evoenergy utilises an online recruitment system to make sure applying for a job at Evoenergy is quick and easy.
When submitting an application you will need to do the following:
Sign-up as a new user and accept the privacy statement.
Complete a questionnaire, so that SMS alerts can be sent to you when roles you might be interested in are advertised.
Complete and online application. This includes:
entering your personal details
developing a cover letter that addresses your skills and experience in relation to the advertised position
addressing the selection criteria – you will be allowed up to 200 words for each criterion
submitting your resume, making sure the file you attach is not larger than 2MB.
Submit your completed application. You will receive an automatic email receipt when your application has been received.
Our online system also allows you to see the status of your application, change your personal details, retrieve an existing application, modify your application or withdraw your application.
Referee details need to include:
contact details (at least one contact number)
relationship between the referee and the applicant.
School leavers and University graduates may use teachers or lecturers.

Evoenergy knows that getting experience in your field of interest is important for your future employment. That's why we offer several ways to gain on-the-job exposure that can assist in acquiring the job you want.
Work experience and vacation employment
We support local schools in our community by providing work experience opportunities for students in their final years of study.
During a period of work experience, students learn to operate as part of a work team as well as perform and observe a range of work-related activities.

Occasionally we will employ high achieving university students over the university summer holiday period. This provides students with a great opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills gained at university in a work setting whilst gaining a wage for the period. We appreciate that when you finish studying you want to hit the ground running and be given hands-on experience in your area of study.
About our graduate development program
The Graduate Development Program is a two year rotation program where graduates will rotate through three eight-month placements within their division, and sometimes in other divisions within the business. Each rotation will involve a combination of both on-the-job training and development, and formal learning opportunities.
Graduates involved in the program will be required to complete several key courses withing the two years, helping to prepare them future leadership roles within the organisation.
The Evoenergy Graduate Development Program:
uses your existing skills, knowledge and experience and provides opportunities for you to develop new skills
provides opportunities for mentoring with more senior employees who can provide support, advice and career guidance as required, as well as opportunities to network with other graduates to earn about the other business areas and share experiences
provides an opportunity to rotate throughout different areas of the business, which gives great exposure and experience.
Graduate program employment process
Graduate positions will be advertised on the vacancies page of the Evoenergy website.
Applicants complete the Graduate Program Application Pack and send to Evoenergy.
Applicants will be short-listed.
Preferred applicants will be invited to participate in an assessment centre to further their skills and knowledge.
Following this, applicants will be provided with feedback and the successful applicants will be notified.
