Shifting to demand tariffs
From 1 December 2017, residential and small business customers with a smart meter installed will default to Evoenergy’s peak demand tariff. The introduction of peak demand tariffs will be a gradual process, as smart meters are installed in the ACT.
There are three common situations where a customer will be assigned to Evoenergy’s demand tariff:
Your electricity retailer is responsible for installing new electricity meters. For more information about smart meters, contact your retailer.
Opting out of the peak demand tariff
Customers on a peak demand tariff can opt-out to a time-of-use tariff. You can change between a peak demand tariff and time-of-use tariff once in every 12 month period.
