The heatwave affecting NSW and the ACT is placing increased demand on the National Energy Grid. While the ACT has one of the most reliable energy networks in Australia, and is currently operating within capacity, the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) has advised that the grid will be under strain tomorrow (Friday, January 18) afternoon.
